Breckenridge 2013: Part II

Hello Friends & Family--

This year, I again opted out of skiing. Next year we hope to get Cam on the slopes, so we'll make it a true family affair. Daddy can't wait! Chris was lucky that they had a lot of snowfall this year, and fresh snow while we were there. Chris and Brandon were in ski heaven :)

I loved sledding!!

Shopping in downtown Breck.

Lots of snow this year!

We did however spend our time SHOPPING, sledding, enjoying wildlife and relaxing. As well as lots of eating :) We finally found a great little coffee shop in town too. We ended up trying a new restaurant called Modis. Great place and food if you are ever in Breck. I'd say overall it was a great trip, something that we look forward to every year. Chris and I have been going since before we were married and it's awesome to see how this little trip has evolved and added a little guy to the mix. Always thankful to my family for letting us stay there too!

Side note, the fox near the bottom lives near the house. They like to sleep on the roof and bask in the sun. Every year I try to catch him on camera to no avail. This year he made multiple trips around the house so I caught him on camera a few times. He was such a beautiful creature. At one point he was so close (he actually kept creeping towards me) that I actually started to get scared and backed away. One of the many reasons I love Colorado, the wildlife sightings are awesome!

I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking :) Sorry for the overload.

Great friends, great food!

Cam's toy corner :)

All ready to go sledding!

Latte art...best coffe ever!

Still gets into mischief, even on vacay.

Driving cars with Daddy.

Playing games with Auntie Alysia.

Mommy & Cam relaxing and enjoying the views.

The views...breathtaking.

The infamous fox!

Fox again, we saw him multiple times this trip.

Then it was off to the airport. We had a late evening flight home, again Cam didn't fall asleep until 3 minutes before we landed. I was able to keep him asleep until we got him into the car though. There was a storm moving into IL/WI and we were lucky enough (well Chris was) to drive in it all the way home. Our hour trip turned into almost 3, oops! Welcome back to Madison I guess.

Cam & Mommy at the Denver Airport.

He spent an hour watching the tram going by :)

Until next year Breck...

 More stellar views.

Sledding

Hello Friends & Family--

Like I mentioned in an earlier post, Madison finally had a major snowfall (again no complaints). Chris' Aunt & Uncle loaned us a baby sled to use with Cam and we've been waiting to test it out with the dogs. I let go of my fear that Cam was going to go flying off the sled or worse the dogs were going to run off with him...and we gave it a test run.

Needless to say he loved it! His poor little head was bopping all over the place, but he was giggling and smiling the entire time. We only had him hooked up to Hurley (the red one) as Cooper is a little reckless when it comes to pulling. Hurley is definitely our reliable one when it comes to being lead (same with roller blading and biking too). Plus the two of them can pull pretty fast and I don't think that's a good idea right now :)

We've gone sledding in the front yard sans the dogs a couple of times too. I'm that crazy lady pulling my kid in the exact same circle around the tree in our front yard. Anything for a laugh from my sweet boy! Too bad with the all the warm weather we've experienced it's almost all gone :)

Here a little video clip, it's from my phone and I apologize for the poor angles. It's hard holding a baby's head and trying to take a video.

Love,

Chris, Amber & Cameron
