Week 5
Being that I'm only 5 weeks along and we aren't telling anyone until after my first OB appointment on October 8th, I'm having quite the hard time keeping the good news to myself. Chris is actually the one holding me to this, so throw all questions his way! Just ask any friend/family member about how much I can can't keep a gift I've purchased for them a secret--not so much! I'm always way to excited to share, so I'm sure you can understand how this is killing me! I thought I'd post this for people to read after the fact, so they can truly see how much of a struggle it was for me.

It's official!
Welcome to Baby Z's blog! This will be the best way to share our pregnancy with all of our friends and family (right along with the arrival of the newest bundle of joy in our family)! We'll keep you posted as best as we can! Be patient with me and I may even get Chris to post a few blogs!
A little history...I had taken a few tests since we began trying and obviously to no avail. This time it felt different. I can't really say why, other than the fact it just did. I took the test while Chris was getting ready, this way he could share in the joy! Or in his case disbelief! The second line was only faint, but it was definitely there! Chris didn't believe me because the line was so faint, so I took a second ( the expensive digital sort) test to make sure and sure enough it said PREGNANT! He finally believed me! I called my doctors office thinking I could do a test there to confirm, but she said that all they would do would be to give me the same test. She assured me that they are very accurate and then said "Congrats, you are pregnant!" Shocking words to hear for the first time, but joyful in the same sense. It definitely started to sink in that Chris and I were about to embark on a new journey in life! He's still letting it simmer, it's going to take him a bit!

I can't tell you how EXCITED we are to be bringing a little one into this world! After nearly 5 years (September 17th) of marriage I think it's time! This is the first grandchild on my side so it makes it extra special! We of course have our adorable nephew Brayden on Chris' side--hard to believe he'll be 2 in November!
