28 Weeks!

Hello Friends & Family--

Cam was 28 weeks on November 11th! We've continued to eat solids with enthusiasm! We are experiencing some tummy issues, so prunes were recently introduced. He enjoyed them and hopefully they start working! I'm sure he'll appreciate reading this when he's older.

Cam still enjoys his music and books. We can never read enough books, but he will get upset if you don't let him "eat" the book when your finished. Needless to say we read most of his foam/plush/board books. He has also started to really make some consonant sounds, specifically Dee-Dee-Dee. I'm sure Dada will be his first word : (

28 Weeks!

This is a progression shot of my lil' mover...

He doesn't stop :)

Dad didn't like how I styled his hair, so now Mohawks it is!

Yummy Squash!

Hello Friends & Family--

After a couple of weeks of rice cereal it was time to bump it up to the next level. What better way then by some yummy squash (this happens to be our favorite). I prepared the squash myself (and even used my new freezer baby tray)!

On November 1st, Cam had his first taste of squash! He was quite delighted by the change in tastes (I think the cereal can be a bit bland). He didn't spit it out and kept opening his mouth for more! We'll continue on this for one week then I think we'll introduce some peas!

Thankfully when they are this little they aren't picky eaters! I can't wait till his old enough to tell me no and throw it on the floor! Ha!

First bite! Notice the spooky ghost in the background :)

More please!

Stop taking my picture Dad!

Cam's First Halloween!

Hello Friends & Family--

As many of you know Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday for a number of reasons! This is something I hope that Cam and I can share for years to come. Chris doesn't mind it either, mainly because of our Annual Zimmerman Halloween Bash!

Needless to say I was very excited to share my love of Halloween with Cameron this year. Like I mentioned before he wasn't a fan of my spooky ghost, but the rest of the decor he tolerated. We picked the warmest costume we could find thinking that there would probably be snow--oddly enough it was really nice for October 31st! From time-to-time we call Cam "monkey", so it was appropriate for him to don this adorable little monkey costume.

We only went to a handful of houses (people we knew well). He was fascinated with seeing all of the outdoor decorations and meeting new faces. Not to mention he got Mom & Dad lots of treats! Thanks buddy! I'm sure we won't be able to steal them for too many years, but for now I enjoy that aspect!

Mr. Monkey!!

I think he was stuffed to the brim b/c he kept slouching over ;)

Mommy and her "monkey man"

Little action shot of our "monkey"!

He was more concerned with holding his treat bag then saying hi!

27 Weeks

Hello Friends & Family--

November 4th Cam was 27 weeks! He's busy eating solids and maneuvering around on the floor. He doesn't like doing tummy time and has figured out if he just rolls over he can get out of it. What a stinker. He can move or shall I call it scoot around in a full circle. If there's a toy in sight that he wants he can somehow manage to get it, but he gets discouraged fast so watch out! He's been sleeping good and taking 3 good naps a day too! He enjoys going shopping with Mommy, he just stares at everything around him. We are going to have to sign up for a mommy & me swim class and perhaps a play group for this winter or we may go crazy being cooped up inside!

Here's love bug at 27 weeks! So I got carried away and added too many photos. Enjoy.

*Can you tell someone 1. loves their socks/feet and 2. gets distracted easily? :)

26 Weeks

Hello Friends & Family--

Friday, October 28th marked 26 weeks. Gotta love having a mini birthday on a weekly basis! Chris commented on that, I think Daddy is just jealous.

And he's MOBILE!

Hello Friends & Family--

*Finally got the video to work--had to send it from my phone and put on our new computer. Grr

This week has been filled with lots of firsts! After a walk with the dogs I laid Cam on his play mat and through his fussiness (it was just about nap time) he was really trying to roll over. He's done this in the past, but this time he had a little more vigor! I thought well, I'll just record it (screams/tears and all) to see if he does roll over (didn't think it would really happen). Well sure enough through the screams he rolled himself over on October 10th! Please excuse my excitement from the video...Mom was VERY proud! The more I listen to it, the more I encourage you to turn off the sound. WOW.

Enjoy!

Alphabet & Number Mats

Hello Friends & Family--

Now with Cam being a bit more moblie, and crawling just around the corner we needed a good surface for our little man. The wood floors just aren't cutting it when he really starts to crash & burn! So I did some searching and found these great foam puzzle pieces to use in both the upstairs and basement. He's loving them so far! I'm loving the fact dog hair comes off a lot easier than on rugs/blankets :)

6 Month Appointment

Hello Friends & Family--

Cameron had his 6 month appointment on November 2nd. It's so crazy how much he's changed since his 4 month appointment. There were a lot more smiles and laughs during the hour we were there, unlike the screams we dealt with a couple of months ago! The only tears/cries we witnessed were during the shots which is highly understandable! All it took was some loving from Mom and he was all better! I hope that's always the case! Mom and Dad even got a shot (flu shots) to make up for it.

Here are our little guy's stats:

Weight: 15 lbs 6 oz (13%)
Height: 2' 1.25" (11%)
Head Circumference: 43.25cm (36%)

As you can see he's just a little peanut, with a slightly larger head (room for his big brain). I'm sure he's taking after his Mom in the height department. He's completely healthy and there are no concerns! We will continue on our solid food schedule and see if that sparks a growth spurt :)

His next appointment won't be until he's 9 months. Lucky kid gets to skip out on the vaccinations at that appointment, I'm sure he'll appreciate the break since he's had 4 at every appointment thus far. I'm thinking he'll start to dread the clinic when he's older. Good thing Dr. E and her nursing staff are excellent though!

More posts and pictures to come (once again I'm way behind!) We are in the process of upgrading to our new computer so I'll have to move all of our photos, but hopefully now that they'll all be on one computer blogging will be a bit easier!

Chris, Amber & Cameron
