46 Weeks/Breckenridge

Hello Friends & Family--

I love Colorado!
This may come as a shock, but there is no picture with the bear for week 46. I made it almost a complete 52 weeks without missing one too! I have a good excuse though. We all took a little vacation to Breckenridge, Colorado! This was Cam's first plane ride. He did AWESOME! We had the flights timed around nap times, but he decided he couldn't sleep with so much excitement going on around him. We had tv on the flight as a back-up but he was too busy checking out his surroundings to care. Daddy has the pics on his phone so we'll have to post those later (maybe a phone photo post will be next).

Too cool to wear his sunglasses.

Beautiful view of Breck!

A family pic!

We were staying at my Aunt and Uncles house (thank you again!) with a few friends. It was a great trip overall. However, we've discovered that he's even more of a "mama's boy" then we originally thought. This kid would SCREAM if I was out of site. No matter who had them (even Daddy) and what cool toy/object they had. I think they could have given him cake and he still would have screamed. Any suggestions, I'll take them :) It's definitely better at home though.

Thanks Uncle Jerry and Aunt Amy!

Daddy got in lots of skiing, and us girls got to do some shopping and exploring. Cam was the only one that really got anything though. Oh to be a kid again! I'll leave you with a few pictures from our trip.

45 Weeks!

Hello Friends & Family--

March 9th marked 45 weeks. As you can tell by the progression of pictures we've got a little mover on our hands! Phew, taking his weekly pictures has become quite the task! I now try to do it when I have an extra set of hands :)

He's busy exploring these days. I love to see his face light up when he discovers something new for the first time. Even as simple as a new kitchen utensil (why buy toys?).

44 Weeks!

Hello Friends & Family--

Onto March...Cam turned 44 weeks on March 2nd. This also marks the day he said...

                                 MAMA!

Oh that's just music to my ears! Now one day I'll regret this day, when I'm being called in every direction and wish my name was Dada. Ha. For now I'll savor every moment of it.

Not too many other new things this week. Just lots of moving around and exploring his toys. He's been trying new finger foods like mangoes. He also has tried turkey, chicken and beef at this point too. I'd say Chicken is still his favorite!

43 Weeks!

Hello Friends & Family--

Yes, I know I started back up and fell off the bandwagon AGAIN. I think I'm just so far behind I can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'll keep chugging along though... My goal from here on out is to stay on top of this. Yeah, yeah we'll see right?

So, February 24th marked 43 weeks. Week 42 was filled with lots of sickness and a few firsts, and this week continues with new and fun things too (thank goodness the sickness is fading fast)! I forgot to mention last week that he mastered feeding himself with both hands! Mainly puffs, but he's not to bad at it!

This week he really mastered clapping his hands together. Whenever Mom gets him excited or he sees Bolero that cat he will clap! At times there's also a little dance associated with clapping. It's quite comical! He also started showing interest in waving good-bye. He's doesn't have it down yet, but it's getting there. Now to work on using it at appropriate times ;)

42 Weeks

Hello Friends & Family--

**Where has the time gone? I'm guessing that I'm always going to be behind on this blog, especially with this beautiful weather. Pardon me as I catch you up on the last SIX weeks. Ha!

42 Weeks on February 17th! He cut that final top tooth this week, so all 4 teeth are in. Bring on the tiny teeth marks on toys, books, etc! It does make it easier for him to mash up his finger foods (even though he truly doesn't use them much). He doesn't mind eating the puffs, steamed apple pieces or banana. He also enjoys bread and pancakes :) We did however run into a hiccup as it appears our little guy isn't a fan of turkey (the organic packaged stuff). This was the first protein we introduced and he let us know quickly with tears/screams and adorable little faces of disgust. We'll keep trying (I do however hate turkey myself so I don't blame him :) )

We also experienced our first cold this week, bummer. Little guy has a runny nose and yucky cough. I hate seeing him sick, but I do enjoy the extra cuddle time. He hasn't been sleeping well so of course we haven't been sleeping either. Boo. We went to the Dr. on Thursday just to make sure pneumonia wasn't creeping in on us as we did hear some wheezing from him. He checked out just fine (minus the virus of course), just wish there was more that we could do than just wait it out. Nasty cold bug!
