3 Months!

Hello Friends & Family--

*** I was looking through my drafts and apparently this never got posted! So better late than never I guess. Haha. 4 months later isn't too bad, right?

On Friday July 29th Cam was officially 3 months old!  My baby is growing up way too fast! We spend our days loving up his adorable face! A few of our 3 months highlights: we love nursery rhymes (especially Peas (Pease) Porridge Hot), baths are still our favorite, smiling a lot more and laughing too, he loves to talk to himself or whomever will listen! He still needs to be on a rigid nap schedule or we have a crabby pants on our hands...takes after the Mingus side!  We've had some napping issues again, so we are now reading a wonderful book, Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child. It was recommended by a friend who used it's basic ideas on their 2 children with much success. It's definitely worth a shot! I'll have to update once I've finished the book and put it into action. So far the bit I've read has really helped us thus far!

Today not only marks the 3rd month of Cam's life, but also the first weekend that it will be just Mommy and Cam. Daddy is headed up North for a Guy's Weekend trip with friends. I know we'll survive just fine, but it's nice to have a second set of hands in the evening and a break every now and again :) Have fun Daddy, we'll miss you!

And for those of you wondering, we are still using and LOVING our cloth diapers! I was them about every two days. I wouldn't say it's any more work than a disposable and I know we are saving a ton of money! They are pretty fashionable too! Only thing is Cam looks bigger than he really is b/c the diaper is a bit bulkier, but overtime that won't be the case b/c he'll wear these same shells until we start potty training! (The only thing you change as they grow are the inserts, and there are 3 sizes so not to bad!)

Here's our 3 month old munchkin!

News

Hello Friends & Family--

A while back I wrote a very emotional blog about my desire to stay home with Cameron (then Baby Z). I prayed that I would be the one that would see my Child's "firsts" and be there to watch him grow. I detested the thought of leaving him in the care of someone else and missing out on so much.

I'm very happy to inform you all that my prayer was answered, I am now a stay-at-home Mom! I'm VERY thankful for my Husband for allowing me to do this. After being off  from work already I know this will be the best decision for us. Every day is such a blessing! I can't wait to watch him grow. It may take a lot of sacrifice, and added pressure for Chris but I know that we can make it work. Thanks again to my wonderful hard-working Husband for allowing me to stay home to raise our Son.

Some of you may have already known this, but now that it is official with my FORMER employer I am able to announce it to everyone! My job was very understanding and I'm thankful that no bridges were burned when it may come time for a reference.
What a major relief!

And here's my love bug, every blog deserves a picture right?

12 Weeks

Hello Friends & Family--

On July 22nd Cam was 12 weeks! He is officially 3 months on the 29th however (I'll take pics then too). He's enjoying his books more and I think he actually pays attention :) He loves singing nursery rhymes while someone one makes the motions with his hands--too cute!

I'll leave you with a bunch of photos from our little photo shoot. I think from now on our weekly photos will be without a shirt.

11 Weeks

Hello Friends & Family--

11 weeks old, almost 3 months! Cam was 11 weeks on Friday, July 15th. He started his day by "talking" loudly to anyone that would listen. It almost sounds like a bird squaking. Pretty cute! We also started an activity email program, where you enter in your child's info and based on their age they send you an activity to try for the day. Today was an airplane ride, where you swing them in  your arms like superman. I wish I had this on camera, but he LOVED it! I think this will be one of our go to activities!

Independence Day

Hello Friends & Family--

Being this was Cam's first 4th of July, we made sure he had a cute little festive outfit for the occasion. He slept through all of the fireworks this year, next year I'm sure it will be more memorable!

Firsts

Hello Friends & Family--

I've been a little behind on blogging, so I'm just going to post a few of the things that have been going on. We've been trying to get Cam used to being out and around town (other then the usual VB and SB games that we watch Daddy play). Here are a few of our adventures. I'll try to continue to post some more tomorrow. I have a ton of pictures I'd love to share!

On July 2nd Cam visited the Henry Vilas Zoo for the first time. I'm sure we'll be taking many more trips, especially when he gets older. The Zoo is pretty decent for being free! He slept for most of this trip, so there aren't really any pictures of him, just the animals. :)

Cameron took his first trip to the Union on July 6th. He did really good with all of the buzz going on around him. It such a beautiful location, I wish we visited more often!

On Sunday July 10th we went to our friend's house for some ritual sunday volleyball. Although I'd say this time around it was a little more low key then past games. Cam enjoyed laying under the trees and sleeping while Daddy played :)

10 Weeks

Hello Friends & Family--

Cameron was 10 weeks old on Friday July 8th! He's still showing us his little personality on a daily basis. He goes from smiling and cooing to screaming in two seconds! Ha! I'd say his fussiest time is at night and I blame it purely on him being overly tired. He truly is a good baby though. He smiles so much more now and sometimes you get a semi laugh out of him. No belly laugh just yet though!

Here's our happy boy!

Week 9

Hello Friends & Family--

On Friday, July 1st Cam was 9 weeks. The weather took a nice turn and we were able to go on a walk every morning with the dogs. The dogs love the exercise and Cam likes to use that as prime nap time in his baby bjorn. Works for me, kills two birds with one stone.

He's still sleeping really well through the night. I'm so happy that he's such a good sleeper. Plus, naps are a must for this guy or he gets crabby, just like his Mom! It's getting easier for us to get into a routine during the day with his feeding/nap schedule. This way I get a few free moments to get some cleaning or other household duties done.

Here's our 9 week shoot! Yes, he really hates these pictures...
